Colonialism and its Impact on Indigenous Cultures and Civilizations

August 1st, 2020

9 am PST / 11 am CST / Noon EST

European enlightenment, from the 17th to the 19th century, had devastating consequences for the non-European world.

Indigenous people across the world are still picking up the pieces, assessing the damage, and trying to restore and protect their cultures.

In this webinar we will reflect on the history of different indigenous peoples, the contemporary challenges facing these people, and what the future holds as indigenous people from around the world search for unity and support in challenging the Western world order.

In this webinar, Dr. Mindahi Bastida, Dr. Michael Ward, and Elder Julie Tumamait-Stenslie will continue the much needed conversation on the impacts of colonialism and how we can overcome that history.
